Revolutionaries needed

I need some revolutionaries. Do you have 15 to 20 minutes once a week and a few friends to have Bible study with? If so, I would like to send you a booklet or 2 or 3 and let you give it a shot for 6 weeks and let me know how it's working. You don't need to be a theological expert, you just need the desire to seek God, and a heart for Jesus and some friends you can talk with. Let us know at ri_ministries@yahoo.com or just post a comment here on our blog! Let the Revolution Begin!

Infiltrating the Enemy Base

Christians are under attack. The Devil is constantly attacking, he is on the move seeking to destroy all he can. His strategic position has placed him in the family and in the school. He is destroying the foundation of the culture and the future of our society. It's time for us to move inside the enemy's position and begin to turn the tide. It's time for a family and campus Revolution Inversion. Pockets of resistance, small groups of freedom fighters working behind enemy lines. Will you stand up for the cause of Christ?

The tactics are simple. Get a few friends and start a Bible Study at your school. Start a Christian Club at your school. Start a short Bible study with your brothers or sisters, your mom or dad. Spend time talking about God at home and at school. Pray with your family before you eat (which means sitting down to a meal with your family). Take time to be on the front lines against the devil. Let's get this Revolution going!

Your Cirlce of Influence

Each of us has a circle of influence that we have direct contact with. Each of us have a dozen people who we have a close relationship with. Family and close friends we talk to daily. You are in the best position to reach that group of people with the good news of Christ. By sharing Christ with one person, that one person now has the chance to work in that circle of influence.

As you have small group Bible Studies, simply reach out to those in your core group. Those you have Bible Study with can then take it to their circle of influence. The process continues to grow and the impact can cover your school campus, town, on and on.

The 15 minute Bible Study

When do most students have time to study the Bible. If you think about the traditional Bible study that takes an hour, most don't have the time. So what do we do? We create Bible Studies that we have time for. It's best to spend an hour studying the Bible, or 5 hours, but having less time doesn't mean we don't make the best of that time. That is why the Revolution Inversion has the 15 minute Bible Study.

Each Bible study is set up with 6 weeks, each week has a place for a journal, the material and incites from the week. The goal is to get 3 or 4 friends during lunch or before school and have a quick Bible Study. Take time to get into God's Word at school, invite a few friends, take 6 week. After 6 weeks, pick another book, trying something else.

What is the Revolution Inversion?

The Revolution Inversion is the changing of the culture of our school campuses in a positive direction. For years, students have pushed the edge of their boundaries with their behavior, speech, dress and attitudes. They have thrown out respect, values and morality in exchange for instant gratification, selfishness and rebellion. It’s time for the Revolution from this generation to inverse, to move back to a trend of moral behavior and responsibility. Respect, love and dedication to God, their parents and each other is the goal. This is the opposite of the moral depravity that we have today. Instead of Christian parents being fearful of what their friends are teaching them, Atheistic parents need to worry about their child coming home with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, a new life and a new birth.

Vision

The Vision of the Revolution Inversions share the good news of Jesus Christ with students by getting them involved in a small group, composed of an indigenous leader to grow the group and spread to many small groups. Those groups will either join together to form a larger organization and a network structure, or remain independent in cooperation to reach out.

Mission Statement

Our purpose is to deliberately display the love of Christ for our teachers and classmates in a way that inspires them to become committed followers of Jesus Christ in fulfillment of the Great Commission.

The Plan

The plan will begin with a student or a group of students working on campus to build relationships with believers to form a core group. This group will commit to meet together on a regular basis for prayer and bible study. This group will work together to develop a set time and routine for what will grow into club meetings. As the group grows, it can mature into a full blown Campus Organization or club, or merge with an existing group.

The focus of the group must be the small groups. The large group exists to bring the groups together for fellowship and worship on a regular basis. The large group meetings should be monthly or every other week. The large group should be for believers to get to know one another, a time of worship and fellowship and large mission projects that include everyone. The main outreach is done in the small groups, and the large group should focus on those small groups, what groups are meeting and when, to make sure people can attend the group they desire to be in.

If there is a group that exists on campus and it chooses to adopt this strategy, they should begin by making a few changes. The first will come as the adoption of the small group format as the main outreach, with the main group meeting for a time of corporate worship. The leadership structure as a whole may require alteration to accommodate the introduction of small groups into the structure. The focus of leadership should shift from that of leader to that of facilitator, making sure the small group leaders and equipped to have an effective study and outreach.

The Goal

The purpose of Revolution Inversion is to make a movement on your school campus. To change lives, to change eternal destinations and to create a way to share Christ with the people you spend your school days with. Thanks for joining us on this ride!
